Year Level Placement
Apollo International Preschool offers full day and half day programs, open to all children of ages 2 months – 6 years+.
In Apollo infant care, our priority is to ensure that our infants will be well taken care off by our Registered Nurse/Baby Nurse with personal touch. Our Registered Nurse/Baby Nurse are responsive and has deep understanding on the psychological and physiological needs of our infants.
Our safe and cosy environment provides learning opportunities like sensory, social, physco-motor, creativity and cognitive developments during their growing months. Our Infant Educator armed with Apollo infant curriculum will educate our infants thru fun play and engage our infants to explore hence encourage creativity in their early stage of grown.
Cognitive and Brain development
Engages in Pretend play, shows awareness of different objects, people and colours in the environment.
Self and Social Development abilities
Develops positive attitudes and confidence with adults as well as among peers. Displays social behaviour and able to express oneself with others.
Sensory and Psycho-motor Development
Shows keen awareness and demonstrating use of senses. The child is able to walk independently, uses small muscles and simple coordination of eye hand movements to carry out tasks.
Apollo International Preschool also provides enriching expressive art and music experiences for toddlers to explore, create and to encourage creativity in the early years.
Our Playgroup program focus on the nature of toddlers who are curious, inquisitive and active. They will enthusiastically use their five senses to actively explore the world around them. They find pleasure in causing things to happen and in completing basic tasks. And once a discovery is made, they will want to make it happen again and again and again.Toddlers learn through various interactions through warm and responsive environments and relationships with caregivers and peers. At Apollo International Preschool, our Playgroup program provides learning experiences through different forms of play and exploration involving various inquiry moments in school. We will help your child progress and develop towards achieving these focused areas of competencies:
Language and Communication Development Skills
Responding and understanding some words, forming simple sentences,
singing and responding to songs, rhymes and stories.
Cognitive and Brain development

At Nursery 1, children begin to develop and acquire increased awareness of numbers, engage in concepts and processes of math and science. They also begin to explore letter sounds and alphabets and develop a keen interest in reading and different types of stories. Their gross and fine motor development abilities continue to grow as they become more independent in their daily tasks. They are also more actively engaged in group activities during play time and are able to accomplish small tasks by themselves.
At Apollo International Preschool, our Nursery 1 program continues to provide learning experiences through different forms of discovery and exploration through various inquiry experiences in school. Language and Communication Development Skills ( Phonics Program)
Your child will be introduced to alphabets and their phonological sounds. Through books, music, songs and rhymes, your child will enjoy reading and develop an interest in writing as well.
Cognitive and Brain development
Classification, sorting and recalling information and concepts are various areas that children at this age develop.
Self and Social Development abilities
Your child is able to demonstrate self help abilities, able to follow routines and shows increased independence in school. Self awareness and participation in classroom activities increases at this age.
Sensory and Psychomotor Development
Higher levels of competency in gross motor abilities and fine motor skills increase. Demonstrates the use of small muscles to complete tasks and self help. There is also displayed eye hand coordination for building, forming and constructing activities.
At Nursery 2, children have an increased sense of self confidence, they develop social skills and interact more during play time. They begin to understand more content, skills and concepts. Reading, phonics and numeracy skills are introduced to promote the child’s emergent capacity for language learning and acquisition.
The child’s physical development skills are also more developed and thus the child is able to exercise better self control and engage in greater challenges in both indoor and outdoor activities in school. We will continue to help your child progress and develop towards achieving these focused areas of competencies:

At this stage, your child will start to recite rhymes and finger plays, responds to questions appropriately and learn to express simple ideas and feelings in short and simple sentences. Your child will show interest in writing for specific purposes and start to make representational drawings.
Cognitive and Brain development
Your child is able to associate life objects to pictures, starts to sequence different events and daily routines. There is a sense of awareness displayed of the daily roles of people around them and starts to take familiar roles in pretend play.
Self and Social Development abilities
Your child starts to exercise greater self control and demonstrates emotional regulation in school with peers. Learning to handle his or her feelings, taking turns, and resolving conflicts are some of the essential life long learning skills your child will learn in school.

At kindergarten 2, children build a foundation for all later academic disciplines by learning essential skills that will help them in schooling years. Through investigative experiments, role play and problem solving tasks in school, your child attains confidence and the ability to achieve long term goals in a fast changing and globalized world.
With increased social competence, confidence and emotional maturity, your child will continue to work collaboratively in projects. There is demonstrated critical thinking skills, exploration of ideas and concepts, problem solving in our inquiry based learning environment. By the end of kindergarten 2, your child will be equipped with the life skills and character development that are important factors for school and lifelong learning.
Language and Communication Competency Skills ( Phonological Awareness Program)
At 6 years old, your child is able to express ideas and communicate in sentences during group discussions. The child is also able to present an idea with short sentences in front of peers and respond well to questions. The ability to write short sentences, their own names with conventional spelling is also shown.
Cognitive and Brain development
Your child is able to plan the process of completing a task or activity and shows perseverance in completing tasks. Problem solving and observational skills are seen in your child’s daily activities. There is also ability to apply information or experiences to a new context. Logical thinking skills, creativity and imagination are presented in various ways and processes by your child.
Self and Social Development abilities
Your child displays increasing independence, self awareness and emotional regulation. It is important that your child understands and stands up for his or her rights, shows positive attitudes towards activities and has cooperative, prosocial behavior with others. There is also the ability to compromise and discuss to resolve conflicts and being able to work cooperatively with others.

Preparation for Schooling Year
However, at this stage it becomes important that they acquire the basic skills required for the next school placement. A special Pre-Primary Preparation program is put in place from July to December each year for all students graduating from Kindergarten to a international or local school. They will be given an opportunity to experience similar teaching styles and learning. Their independence as well as social skills will be reinforced. This is necessary to ensure a smooth and successful transition for schooling years.
Trial Period
Children are allowed two weeks to try out the program. If parents withdraw their child during this period, a prorated fee of the program will be charged. The universal childcare subsidy will be prorated. The two weeks include public holidays and weekends. After the two weeks, there will be no refund unless a one-month’s notice is given.
